Terms of Service

Last updated: September 7, 2026

1. Acceptance

By downloading, installing, or using the Residely app or website, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use Residely.

2. What Residely Is

Residely is an AI-powered home management app that helps homeowners track maintenance, organise service records, store home asset information, and receive personalised maintenance cues. The service is available as a mobile app on Android and iOS.

3. Your Account

You sign in using Google or Sign in with Apple. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Provide accurate information about your property, since AI cue quality depends on it. You must be at least 13 years old to use Residely.

4. Household Sharing

You may invite other people to join your household. All household members share access to the property profile, service records, home assets, projects, and maintenance cues. You are responsible for only inviting people who are authorised to access your home information. You may remove members from your household at any time.

5. AI-Generated Content

Maintenance cues and document data extracted from uploaded receipts are generated by AI (via a third-party AI provider) and are provided for informational purposes only. AI outputs are probabilistic: they may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date, and are not guaranteed to be correct. They do not constitute professional advice of any kind, including construction, engineering, safety, insurance, or financial advice. Residely does not value your property or its contents, and its records and estimates are not prepared for, and should not be submitted as, an insurance valuation or claim without your own verification. Always consult a qualified contractor, engineer, or specialist before undertaking significant home repairs or improvements. Residely is not liable for outcomes resulting from following AI-generated suggestions. Residely does not inspect, monitor, or detect conditions in your home. Cues are generated from information you provide and from public property records. They are suggestions of what may be worth attention, not findings. The absence of a cue does not mean your home is safe, compliant, or free of defects, and must not be relied on as an indication that no maintenance or safety issue exists. Only a qualified professional inspecting your property can tell you that. You are responsible for verifying the accuracy and completeness of any AI-generated content before acting on it, including cost estimates, extracted document details, dates, and model or serial numbers. Review each suggestion and disregard anything that appears unsafe, does not fit your home, or conflicts with guidance from a qualified professional. Residely does not know your local building, electrical, plumbing, or permitting requirements, and AI-generated suggestions may not comply with them. Confirming what applies where you live, and obtaining any required permits or inspections, remains your responsibility. Work involving gas, electrical, structural, or roofing systems should be carried out by a licensed professional.

6. Your Content

You retain ownership of the service records, home assets, projects, documents, and photos you upload to Residely. By uploading content, you grant us a limited licence to store and process it to provide the service. We do not claim ownership of your content, and we do not sell it or use it for advertising. We may also derive aggregated, anonymised statistics from it: figures about homes in general, never about you or your home. These do not identify you or your household and are not your content. How we handle your information is set out in our Privacy Policy.

7. Property Data

We retrieve publicly available property information from third-party property-data and mapping providers. This data is provided as-is and may not be fully accurate. You are responsible for verifying property details and updating them as needed. Residely also relies on other third-party services to operate, and may link to external resources such as manufacturer websites and owner's manuals. Those services and resources are governed by their own terms, we do not control their content or availability, and we are not responsible for them.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: (a) use Residely for any unlawful purpose; (b) submit false property or account information; (c) attempt to access other users' household data; (d) reverse engineer, scrape, or copy the service; (e) use automated tools to access the API beyond normal app use; (f) upload malicious code or any file intended to disrupt, damage, or gain unauthorised access to the service or other users' data; (g) present Residely's AI-generated output as professional advice, an inspection, or a survey, whether to a client, an insurer, or a buyer.

9. Service Tiers and Subscriptions

Residely has a Free tier that stays free, and two paid tiers, Plus and Premium, each available on a monthly or an annual basis. The current price of each is shown in the app before you buy and again by Google Play at checkout, and it may differ by country and by applicable taxes. We do not list prices here, so that this page does not go out of date the moment one changes; the price you are shown at the moment of purchase is the price that applies. A subscription applies to your whole household, not to one person, and every member gets the tier’s limits. Only the household owner can start, change, or cancel it. Subscriptions are not currently sold in the iOS app; a household that subscribes on Android keeps its tier on every device its members use, including iPhones and iPads.

10. Billing, Renewal, and Cancellation

Subscriptions are sold and billed by Google Play, not by Residely. Payment is taken by your store account when you subscribe, and the subscription renews automatically at the then-current price for the same period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time in your Google Play account, and cancelling stops the next renewal rather than ending your access immediately. You keep the paid tier until the end of the period you have already paid for, then move to Free. Because billing runs through the store, Residely cannot see or store your payment details, and cannot charge, refund, or cancel on your behalf.

11. Changing Your Plan

You can move up a plan at any time in the app, and moving up is the only change made in the app. There are two cases. Moving up a tier on the same billing period (for example Plus monthly to Premium monthly) takes effect immediately: your renewal date does not change, and Google Play charges you only the difference for the remainder of the period you are already in. Switching from monthly to annual changes nothing about your access if you stay on the same tier, so nothing is charged when you choose it. You keep the period you have already paid for, the annual price is charged on the renewal date you already had, and from that date you renew once a year. If you move up a tier and to annual at the same time, the higher tier starts at once, so you are charged the full annual price then, your renewal date moves to a year later, and any time left on your monthly plan is added on top of the year rather than being lost. Moving down to a lower tier, or from annual to monthly, is not done in the app. Cancel in your Google Play account instead. You keep the plan you have paid for until the end of its period, so cancelling never cuts short time you have bought and no refund or partial credit arises from it; when that period ends you move to Free, and you can then choose any plan you like.

12. Refunds

Refunds are handled by Google Play under its own policies, not by Residely, and are requested through your store account. We do not issue refunds directly and cannot reverse a store charge. Nothing in these Terms limits any statutory right of withdrawal, cancellation, or refund you have under the consumer law of your country, province, or state, including, where it applies to you, a statutory cooling-off period.

13. If a Plan Ends or Payment Fails

If a subscription lapses, because it is cancelled, a payment fails, or it is refunded, the household returns to the Free tier. Your data is not deleted. Records, cues, documents, and history stay in your account. If you are over a Free-tier limit you will not be able to add more of that item until you are back under it or subscribe again, but nothing already saved is removed because a plan ended.

14. Price Changes

We may change subscription prices. A change never applies to a period you have already paid for. Where a price rises for an existing subscriber, Google Play notifies you and, depending on your country and the size of the change, either asks you to accept it or lets you cancel before it takes effect; a subscription is not renewed at a higher price without the notice the store requires.

15. Privacy

Your use of Residely is governed by our Privacy Policy at residelyapp.com/privacy. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

16. Availability

Residely is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may update, modify, or temporarily suspend the service for maintenance. We will provide reasonable notice for planned outages.

17. Termination

You may delete your account at any time directly in the app (Profile → Delete my account); this permanently and immediately removes your account and household data, as described in our Privacy Policy. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription. Because subscriptions are billed by Google Play rather than by us, we cannot cancel one on your behalf. Cancel it in your Google Play account, or it will keep renewing. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, including the Acceptable Use provisions above. Where reasonably possible, we will attempt to notify you before suspending an account for a policy violation. We may also suspend or discontinue Residely, in whole or in part, including where required by law or where continuing to operate the service is no longer viable. If we discontinue the service entirely, we will give you reasonable advance notice and a period in which to export your records before your data is deleted.

18. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Residely is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including personal injury, property damage, financial loss, loss of data, or loss of access resulting from AI-generated maintenance suggestions, from work you carry out or arrange, or from service interruptions. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the lesser of the amount you paid for the service in the 3 months preceding the claim, or US$50.

19. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via in-app notification or email. Continued use of Residely after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

20. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, that provision will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
